Provinces that can form North Africa

North Africa can be created by revolt or releasing a vassal at any point before 1st January 1500. Its culture and religion are not stated in revolt.txt, but all the provinces that can create it are Sunni, and are either arabic, berber, or tuareg culture.

North Africa must contain at least one of the following provinces:

  • Al Djazair (the default capital)
  • Atlas
  • Aures
  • Cyrenaica
  • Fez
  • Kabylia
  • Orania
  • Sahara
  • Tangiers
  • Tassaret
  • Toubkal
  • Tripolitania
  • Tunisia

Monarchs[]

One notable feature of this list of rulers is that the rulers names are all Christian, even though North Africa is most likely to be Sunni. The rulers names are most likely a reference to Romance African language that was in use by local post-Roman Christians that supposedly still inhabited the area in the XV-th century,
