Salzburg is a country in Europa Universalis II. It is an Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. In normal games its provinces are coloured gray, in fantasia games, they are coloured light orange.
Salzburg does not exist at the start of any scenarios, nor does it appear in revolt.txt – so it cannot come into existence mid-game. Despite this, it has both a monarchs file and an events file. It is presumably intended to control the province of Salzburg.

The Purge of the Archbishop of Salzburg
This event happens at any point in 1731 if Salzburg owns Salzburg, and if the Austrian version of this event has not happened. It happens up to 10 days after the trigger. There are two options. Option A is Let the Archbishop Purge the Protestants, and option B is Stop the Archbishop's Purge.

Purging the Protestants triggers an event for Prussia, which sends the displaced population to Prussian provinces.
